From our guestbook:
We have seen an otter around the corner in the adjacent bay, osprey, buzzards (too) We spotted a white-tailed eagle and a golden eagle on the Isle of Mull Large flocks of red wings, field fares, siskins, plus the nightly owl and daily buzzard without leaving the cottage. Dippers, mergansers, goldeneye on the loch. A good starting off point for visiting different areas of Argyll Most enjoyable and relaxing. Thanks for being so welcoming and making the cottage a very comfortable place to stay. See you again. A very comfortable stay in delightful surroundings. The caretaker's warm welcome made a good start! A very comfortable cottage in picturesque surroundings Wonderful week, weather and all! The weather was good, two really hot days, a few with rain which helped to find the fish in the loch. A lovely cottage with fantastic views of the loch and local area. We enjoyed the peace and tranquility.
Upon waking the stunning views from the cottage of the loch was breathtaking. First day saw a red kite. Kilmartin House Museum was excellent. One of us had a morning's fishing in Dalavich near the forest lodges - permits from Norman or Willy in the village. Cottage lovely and cosy, plenty of space. Glad we brought the wellies for the loch walks! Arrived to find a real decorated Christmas tree - very thoughtful. Excellent facilities in cottage - very well equipped kitchen - everything I needed to cook a Christmas dinner. A very pleasant and hassle-free stay. The cottage is lovely, and very well equipped.
The weather has been very kind to us. We enjoyed all the good walks in this area. See you again Would love to come back Hope to return some day Very peaceful and serene and the views are stunning. It is an ideal base for touring. The cottage was very spacious and comfortable. Bats are performing evening aerobatics down by the loch.
