Early April from the road leading to April Cottage

Just down from April Cottage. To the left of this photo is Loch Awe and a small beach

Early morning cloud on Loch Awe
viewed from April Cottage

This dramatic photo was taken early one morning just below the eastern side of the garden (looking North).  The "crannog*"  on the left is an example of a man-made island where Scotsmen once built their family home on stilts.  This particular crannog is called "Cairn Dubh" (pronounced "Cairn Doo").

......and when the mist lifts.........

Looking north in the summer .......

......and winter.......unmistakably Bonnie Scotland

April Cottage from the loch.......

and from the hills.

Winter Wonderland!

View in February from below April Cottage looking North.  The twin peaked snow covered mountain on the left is Ben Cruachan.
